Meet Perry Richard
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and raised in the culturally rich town of Orange, Texas—known to locals as “Fruit City”—Perry Richard found his musical calling early in life. A proud graduate of West Orange-Stark High School (’89) and Lamar University, Perry has spent nearly 40 years perfecting his craft and building a remarkable career in music.
Perry’s journey has taken him from performing with legends like Cab Calloway to opening for chart-toppers like Keith Washington. His rich, expressive saxophone style has made him a sought-after talent, gracing stages across the U.S. and internationally—from cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Carnival to destination events in Jamaica, Cancun, and beyond.
Throughout his career,
Perry has collaborated with a diverse array of artists including the Isley Brothers, Tony Terry, Dougie Fresh, Glenn Jones, Bruce Bruce, and Adele Givens. Notable performances include serenading acclaimed actress Danielle Brooks on her wedding day and playing private events for distinguished guests like Houston Astros owner Jim Crane.
